I would use this site. I think I’m out of the couchsurfing market, so this seems like a great way to still meet locals, but not have to feel like I’d need to party all night with my hosts.

This is genius! I use couchsurfing as well, but I wouldn’t mind paying a few extra bucks. With couchsurfing, you don’t want to overstay your welcome, so I could see going for some of these cheaper listings. Especially if they are making breakfast, it is only fair. The UI is a little rough, but it is very cool. I think they may be onto something.
