Every since there was the set top box everyone has added porn to the mix (Apple may be the loan exception here) since all know that’s one biz that makes money. Where else can you license content and keep 90%-95% of the revenue.

The dedicated set top box market is filled with failurs. Their was Akimbo, XTV (a dedicated porn set top box) and the list goes on and on.

Name one STB maker who is doing well as a stand alone provider. Akimbo even had some big name VC’s and distrbuton partners but still failed.

@ techdude,if its got a pin as normal for paid services,whats the problem ? all boxes here in the u.k have paid adult which requires a pin have been around for years.

I just didn’t understand all the taboo behind the adult industry until i landed into the u.s for the very first time and WOW i did not realise it is such a deeply religous country compared to the U.K and other european countries.

But what i don’t get ? is still why is it a taboo subject here in the land of so called “free speech” i mean we are all created through sex so whats the problem ? we all experiment with sex !

I think the U.S needs to open it’s eyes a bit and wake up to the 21st century especially the VC’s becuase there is tons more money to be made in the adult industry we have only just tipped the iceburg with at the moment.

I will leave you with thought for the religous buffs ” why did god make adam and eve” ? yes to reproduce and that means having sex.
