I've thought about doing this seriously a couple of years ago, but the reality is this:

1) There are just not that many sources to list. Like you said, StubHub will consist of 30% of all the sources when all is said and done. For a particular event, I wouldn't be surprised if there are just 1-3 sources, which is NOT that compelling. Really, it's not.

Compare that to price comparison sites like Shopzilla, which lists 20+ sites that sell a particular product most of the time.

2) Most of these sites have the same tickets for very similar prices. I've done my research, and found out that most of these sites have the same inventory.. same seats, and the prices are usually the same. if they're not, they differ by 1 or 2 dollars.

And if you don't take into account the shipping & handling charges, then users will never know which choice is actually cheaper.

3. This field is crowded. But don't kid yourself, you ain't competing with small players like TicketWood and NinjaTickets (if that was the case, I wouldn't even worry about them). You're competing with TicketMaster, StubHub, TicketsNow, RazorGator, etc... they own the search results, and have been in this field for many many years. Also Craigslist.

The reality is price comparison is not useful for sporting/event tickets at all. There's just not that many unique sources out there.

And you did say you have a partnership with StubHub, but that doesn't mean much. Suppose StubHub decides they wanna stop their affiliate program, somehow I doubt they'll care if you get shafted since you ain't bringing huge traffic right now.

That's the reality. Great idea on the surface. Look deeper though? Sorry, doesn't have a chance.. it just doesn't.

Sometimes. Same with Ebay. However, neither of those offer 100% guarantee like our ticket providers.

Hi Ticketwood sock puppet person, it's your pal Dan from TicketStumbler. I noticed that Ticketwood has spammed at least five other TicketStumbler articles with the exact same comment. Are you guys really this desperate for visitors and attention? How much do spam commenters cost anyways? Love always, your friends at T-Stumbler.

Well, we've been launched about a week and we're already profitable. Also, we receive more traffic than about half of them and definitely have one of the better user interfaces.

Luckily this market is so massive that there's room for many players (e.g. think of all the travel sites out there).
