Hi
I use twitter to promote my new site showmehowto.org when people follow me I follow them but tell them I multi post, I want people to use the site when members post a Fun or tutorial video they get a free 486x60 banner and link that runs above to use to promote their own blog or website, now I don't think of it as spam more like ITN or BBC promoting and people visit the site, I agree spam is a pain if you know how to set up soft ware to stop it, do a video and post it.
But I can't help thinking that there are all these web security companies telling us about evil spam and wooden horses who does it profit that these things are out there and they seem to find the answer real quick!

I see similar things in Google Trends, when you click the top results, there are blog posts next to it, which has some viruses on it and tries to install programs.

If you're going to obscure the user id, you might want to include the "block" link as well.

BTW, I checked out the twitter page and that porn/trojan link is gone.

FYI - the Blacklist that you referred to in this blog post (linking to the May 7th story) was *not* a list that was maintained by Twitter. You might want to correct that because it's very misleading. And you might want to deadpool that Twitter Blacklist because it's no longer being kept up to date.
