Loss for Yahoo. Leaders remaining at AMP are manipulative empire builders or incompetent suck up types. I joined some months ago and the mood within engineers is worse than the daily depressing stock price. CTO publicly encouraged engineers to start their week at 1am on monday, no matter if you slept off rest of the week. Make sure you show up in the war room to tell everyone you bleed purple. My recruiter and hiring manager oversold me on my position. I have worked on three different things, none of them what I was told. Sorry that I took the bait.

He is a true leader who alwasy leads from the front. I have worked with Adam for many years at Yahoo.

He was the most inspiring leader Yahoo ever had. He made impossible possible by focussing on positives. He motivated the AMP! team to acheive impossible tasks. I remember one instance in which he stayed with the team for 4 straight days in LA and acheived 5 weeks task in one week during extreme crunch time. All through positive attitude, quants and motivation. Now that is called leadership.

We will miss you Adam.

Good luck!

Is that his real name? He looks exactly like a person who went by the name of 'Abbas Syed' who was officially listed as the founder/cto/presidnt of a startup called Onebuild in early 2001-02. And a quck look at Linkedin shows 'Adam Hyder' claims to be that exact person.

Maybe you guys can do a little digging here because somehting smells fishy...
