I had a blackjack (windows os) with AT&T and it too would not allow tethering. The windows os supports the functionality but AT&T had removed it for their version of the OS. This seems to be more of an AT&T issue then a Apple issue. I wonder what the contract between Apple and AT&T looks like and when it will be up for renewal? Seems like Apple would probably have a little more leverage at the negotiating table this time around.
