Mossberg, Levy And Arrington Talk iPhone, Yahoo On Charlie Rose
by Erick Schonfeld on July 24, 2008

Our own Michael Arrington joins Wired’s Steven Levy and the Wall Street Journal’s Walt Mossberg on last night’s Charlie Rose show. Most of the discussion was on the iPhone 3G and how Apple continues to turn the mobile world on its head. At the end of the discussion the trio also talk about Yahoo’s future.

This is Mike’s third appearance on the show this year. See his March and May conversations with Rose as well.

Good talk about cloud computing and having Internet now embedded into our lives. I thought Mossberg brought up some really good points, and Michael did a great job. You’re now a tech expert Michael! :D

Tell Michael he’s lost weight and looks really healthy - congrats.

That’s not Michael. That’s Charlie.

Michael looks healthier but he needs to really fix his dark eyes

it’s == it is

fix his dark eyes??? HAHAHAHA Why don’t you watch fashionTV?

Interesting rollup of the main pros/cons that have been abundant during the initial coverage of the new iPhone.

Would have liked to hear more about Yahoo’s situation, and a better job tying it in to Apple and their current media & possible advertising plays.

I believe more class action lawsuits will start hitting cell phone makers (that includes Apple now) sometime next year.

The following is nothing new, it just adds more ammo for class action lawsuits.

“Due to recently increased use [of cell phones], we are not yet able to evaluate their long term impact on health. Even where an association between exposure and cancer is well established and the risk very high — as with tobacco and lung cancer — under similar study conditions (in other words with people who smoked for less than 10 years) it would be difficult, if not impossible, to identify an increased risk of cancer, as the risk appears mostly 15 to 35 years later.”

At least no one actually puts an iPhone to their ears.

I wonder what the SAR and mW is on the 3G model.
