Check out Mahalo Daily’s “CinemaCrunch” review of last night’s Batman screening in Los Angeles. Jason Calacanis calls it “definitely the best superhero movie ever made…hands down.” The key, everyone says, is to see it in IMAX.
Thanks to the 600 people who attended, particularly the handful of people who dressed up as the Joker. Some people camped out for 24 hours to get in because the tickets that MySpace gave out were first come, first serve (ours were reserved seats).

Wouldn’t it be a trademark?
trademark, copyright, whatever. we’ll work it out in the lawsuit.
You mean the CC (I dare not say it!) logo resembling the TC one? Ain’t that parody?
Why is it some people will try anything to catch people’s eye- eg., the title to this post…
haha.. well played
Michael,
Want to thank everyone at TC (and especially your awesome interns) for choosing me yesterday to see this screening.
It was an awesome experience and I felt lucky to be in the crowd. The movie was incredible…won’t give away much more.
Thanks again from a big fan of TC.
-Brian.
Hey Arrington I hear Cap’n Crunch is pissed and wants you to quit tarnishing his wholesome name with your scurvy blog.
Thank you Michael and the rest of the team at TechCrunch for tickets to one of the best action movies ever. My girlfriend and I greatly enjoyed seeing it, and the IMAX format made it into an experience instead of just simply a movie. It was also great meeting some of the Mahalo people there including Jason and Lon.
not sure, why there is any infringement at all. it was posted on your tube.. I can also take this an repost on my blog.. so whats with the term “infringed our copyright” ?
I can’t imagine any Batman movie being good…. maybe 2 1/2 stars, but that’s about it.
Obviously this is a joke, but if Michael was serious he should go after Cap’n Crunch, too.
This trailer has waaay too many spoilers to have up without a warning …. BOO Techcrunch! Ruined my day.
As the kahuna grande of mahalo, could you say that Jason Calacanis is really CAPTAIN Cinema Crunch?
I think you could. So would a court.
randyh0, who says, “don’t be a douche”
Arrington. You should rename your site “All Things Crunch”. Then you can pursue trademark infringement claims against Captain Crunch, Extra Crunch KFC and many other infringers of your mark. That would be your most profitable business model I think.
After seeing Batman in IMAX one of our ad creators was inspired to create this conventional theater vs. IMAX ad: http://beta.adh...ark-knight-imax
had an f’n blast at the IMAX screening, big kukdos to TC for the great time
so asscrunch would be a double violation
heh, and I was thinking buttmunchcrunch
Creditcrunch.com.
You really need to get over yourself… trademark violation? Egos in this business are incredible…..
Very few people realize that only 30 minutes of the 2-1/2 hour movie is shot in iMax, and that the film jumps back in forth between 4×3 and super widescreen a dozen times. Can anyone comment on how that experience was? It seems like it would make it very difficult to watch.
Arrington, we love the work you do on TechCrunch and the awesome screenings.
Do us a favor, leave out the comments that you had (reserved seats). It makes you look like your self glorifying or your just rubbing in your readers faces.
There was no reason to put that it. It did noting for the post.
Just hire a lawyer in A green Leisure Suit and Brown Alligator Boot’s they usually hang out at Art’s Deli in Studio City ! They can rework any Angle that pertains to the right’s of the Unwashed:) For Beef and A Beer they will take you to court with Clean Hands Upward Onward to the Crunchers !
Marhal, it appears you left out a few apostrophes in your post and, to complete your anti-grammatical trifecta, I have corrected your text:

Remember kid’s: Marhal says that your post’s are suck as’s unless a word that ends in “S” has an apostrophe in it because plural word’s are alway’s possessive, right?
congrats to the makers of Dark Knight for their record breaking opening weekend… it’s no wonder there’s talk of another one coming out ASAP
