You should invite NYT's David Pogue, fricking idiot New York Times journalist, to mislead everyone about what Cloud Computing ISN'T. Where does Pogue get this crap, from some high school dropout PR missy? Pogue, you asshat, if you think online applications are cloud computing, then what the hell has everyone been doing for 10 years online with email, quicken, and everything else, since to you the cloud is presently so "white hot". Just shut up Pogue, you're giving males a bad name.

I think this event really highlighted the problem that Mike is trying to solve. Allow me to generalise slightly but I think that in contrast to the US 'so called' nerds, who're heading up the plethora of Web 2.0 companies, the Europeans come a far second best when it comes to communicating the benefits of their products in front of an audience. I think the quality of some of pitches really didn't do justice to the quality of some of the ideas.

I think that European start-ups need perhaps to remember, when you're building a team, you can bring together the best coders on the planet but it's worthless unless you have at least one individual who's able to get out there and sell it.
