An awesome idea for using the iPhone’s functionality, but the end of the video says it all… you lose. Imagine being near to someone in a public space or whatever, playing this. The thought makes me want to go off the grid entirely.

Tapulous is one of the hottest companies in the valley. All of their Apps were huge hits on the iPhone/Pod jailbreak world. They’re all clean fun applications that people of all ages loved. An all star development team and backed by some of the smartest people in the valley. Bechtolsheim, Theis, Motwani, Clavier have amzaing noses for building great companies.

For those who had JailBroken phones and were running apps on their iPhone last year, there was an identical app called “Tap Tap Revolution”, looked almost identical, had two songs. Did they steal it, or are they the same authors?

Just tried it out. I was a bit disappointed that the user-interactions did not trigger sounds when I tapped. In Guitar Hero, the end-user actually contributes to the song. Is that because the iPhone SDK doesn’t have sound-synthesis and/or mixing capabilities? If not, Apple really needs to add that to the SDK/OS.

It’s a nice application.

I wonder how the ranking is made. Is it a worldwide ranking of downloads or a national ranking (by country) of downloads? I ask this because all countries have different applications. In France, eBay, Pandora and Loopt are not available for example, it would make more sense to have a ranking per country then.

Anyone has any idea how the ranking is made then?
