This would be interesting if integrated into our site, for example, as it would allow a user to see who across the whole web his contacts could introducce him to before sending a direct invitation for connection. I'll be keeping an eye on it to see just how we could initiate an invitation to a remote contact.

Jokerred - Many sites--commercial, B2B, intranets--are using Google, Yahoo and others, to power their internal search. Search is tricky and companies recognize that they must integrate superior technologies to provide their users the best possible functionality and experience.

@Roi if that's the case--delver focused solely on its white-label package--isn't this the type of job that each social network service can implement very easily?

QS - Think of Delver being integrated into an existing social network... They all require users to login. Don't compare Delver to an engine like Google, instead, compare it to internal search engines of social networks.

Delver’s Social Graph Search Engine Now Open to All...

Delver, which came out of stealth back in January is announcing today that its social graph search engine is open to the public. While the product certainly is intriguing, curb your expectations as Delver has slapped an “Alpha” status on it....

Why on earth would you force a user to identify themselves before allowing them to use the service - this is currently what's happening every time i try and use the search box. I know Roi you said it wasn't perfect, but this is quite a fundamental problem, no?

As a search engine Delver can't replace Google - it only shows that Google lack the option of filtering by age or other personal information. (Which isn't sure if anyone will give it).
Many of so called "friends" in facebook and other SN aren't really friends and having the results according to them doesn't really do many people any good. (Even if the algorithm does rank by proximity to how many common friends one has).
I would be more glad to know to which ages a site is answering (or what kind of group age is using the site).

As a while label it might works better (but again some kind of a vertical SE not as a main service).
GL to delver... they will need it... (or as any Israeli startup will be bought before knowing their true potential - 10-15 engineering for MS for $30M )
