iphone’s plan in canada is pure garbage. first, no incoming call?????WTF is that all about……pure jokes Seconde, you already know about the ripe off data plan goodness gracious it’s pure bull…….. Text messages sucks and last but not least 3 years contract not even two???? forget it for me man…I had plans of getting three for me and my parents but lollllllll i won’t waste 1 cent I’m goint to Telus and getting the HTC DIAMOND for real cause it does somewhat the same things plus the plan is great I ask one of the representers….it sound good for data and the price is right

More Rogers Skullduggery: I just spoke to a Rogers rep about the new $30/6GB data plan — not only is it time-limited, but they won’t sell it to people who have any other device, such as a Blackberry, even with a new device or plan! How’s that for fair and equitable? I signed up last week for a new blackberry plan, and am paying $30 for a measly 300MB of data…

More stellar non-journalism from TechCrunch. Not only in Canada, but in other international stores will you not be able to buy an iPhone in Apple stores. This has been established since WWDC. But you should stop reading this now, and get back to mashing the panic button.

Hank, no market is completely free, and Apple isn’t taking a cut in their latest deal with AT&T. You should write for TC.

Jobs and Apple are so freaking arrogant. They need to make tech stuff, and stay the hell out of the cell phone provider’s business. After shaking down AT&T for a cut of the monthly deal the last time (more power to them), they decided to make their money on the device (hello!?) they still want to f*** around with the free market.

What else is new? Amazon.ca offers maybe a 10th of the cool products Amazon.com. Being Canadian in a tech world means always being a lot behind. You can’t get anything really cool here.

It makes no sense cause our economy is good. We have money to spend, but nobody cares about the 51rst state…..:(

This is yet another example of poor access to some of the best products and services that that Canadians face with in an uncompetitive regulated industry. Canada needs more competition to deliver more competitive products and services into the market. Years of regulated markets and the pressures of regulatory bodies like the CRTC (Canadian Radio and Telecommunications Commission) are killing Canadian consumers. It’s time that markets and consumers determine what they want and not an elite few.
