"Dyson’s products are overpriced crap according to consumer reports".

Total crap! I presume you haven't used one. Dyson shat on Hoover because he made a superior product that never lost suction, didn't have a bag, and not only that cleaned the carpet much much better.

Dyson have invented a new type of hand dryer, these things are great, they actually dry your hands quickly.

I love apple, I have a Macbook and it just works.

However the iphone does not included standard things you expect on a mobile phone, such as photo messaging, setting your mp3 as a ring tone, etc. WHY? I would of bought the first one if it did everything a phone should do, and I will buy the 3g one if that is the case.

Hi,

Techcrunchers can be really slow!

I'm not sure of the situation in the U.s., but when I got one, it came with a 5 year guarantee as standard, and even beyond that they have goodwill for their customers, willing to go beyond what the law says they should.

In Mr. Dysons suitability to talk about the iPhones' design, if people knew anything, they'd know that Dyson has been inventing and designing for a long time, not just vacuum-cleaners, he knows his stuff with all things design, he's also an evangelist for industrial/design and engineering training and appreciation, and even founded a dedicated college for the cause.

His personal story is also one of adversity, facing off big corporations, almost becoming bankrupt and finally triumphing.

Yours kindly,

Shakir Razak

Dyson is passionate about design principles and the efficacy of engineering talent creation within the borders of the US and UK. That's the real story.

I've always thought that Dyson vacuums were cool, but a bit difficult for people to use the accessories.

For instance, on an upright Dyson Vacuum it takes 4 steps just to access the hose.

Step 1: Flip open the shaft top
Step 2: Extend the extension shaft
Step 3: Release the hose
Step 4: Extend the hose and attach an accessory.

You have to that every time you want to switch from upright vacuum to handheld hose. Now, THAT's a usability issue in my book.

I find it ironic that Dyson publicly criticizes the iPhone when he's got a lot of similar problems with his own vacuum.

He may own a BlackBerry and an iPhone....but now I'm thinking that I should own a Hoover to go along with my Dyson!

Nice shot of Mr. Dyson there. Just curious, is he wearing a portable rug designed to resemble a sweater? I can see how wearing something like that could be handy in his line of work.

Man, I have both too. A bb 8830 and iPhone. I LOVE typing on the virtual keyboard so much better than the physical keyboard. And I've had BB since the 850s when there wasn't even a phone on them. iPhone and its safari just kills the bb web browser. bb web browser is completely unusable.!!

I'm really tired of iPhone this and iPhone that. A good analogy for that is if people made web sites that only worked on Macs. Most of us wouldn't care. The iPhone is cool and all but for most people, the Blackberry is much better. Please stop having an orgasm everytime you find sometime to say about the iPhone.
