Jason,

Your product sounds intriguing. I'd like to see John Assaraf at the event. I don't know if you guys are familiar with him but he's a mega successful entrepreneur that was responsible for Bamboo.com, the fastest IPO in internet company history. He's gone on to create other major businesses.... www.readtheanswer.com/index.php?RTA=web2

And it's sold out.

Wow, I ordered my ticket seconds after the story appeared on my Google Reader, I went back after I got the conformation email (still under 3 minutes from the time I first clicked on "order tickets") and the event was now sold out. I had the good fortune to attend the first August Capital Meet up (I happened to be working until 4 AM the day Mike announced it), and it was a blast. I can only image what a more organized version of that would be like.

Maybe this time I won't be so star stuck when I talk to Mike and I can deliver my elevator pitch on my distributed research platform for Insurance Risk Assessment. We help life insurance companies create and market products on top of a mobile accessible risk assessment platform that is available to brokers and agencies. Basically if you are a broker you no longer have to think about underwriting, you now know every thing about every product for any customer, and that's just the beginning. Wish me luck!

On Android vs. iPhone: my friend, an avid Blackberry user, told me that Blackberry's keypad is very easy to use, compared with iPhone's touch screen, so he is not going to rush to get himself a new iPhone when it gets here in Canada.

I think that if iPhone will have a sliding real keypad like this one http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/5066/miniboomboxcellphoneopeff1.jpg - it will be THE Blackberry killer and a very powerful rival to Android.
What may save Android is some very cool functionality that iPhone does not have, but Apple is so fast at innovations, and they keep churning them like crazy!
