I understand what you are saying SnappyBrook but I still think $50 is very reasonable..and maybe a good idea would be to release a majority of the tickets at $10.00 and maybe save 100-200 and put them up for auction a week or so before the event. I think even cash strapped, unfunded entrepreneurs would still pay more than $10.00 for the networking opportunity and experience.

Same thing happened last year also, Tickets were sold out.

Please there should be some tickets for the daily TC readers. I am sure they will be sold out again.

I’m with Anthony Q. If you make tickets $50 bucks – all of us poor start-ups will skip this event. So, WiredMike – at $50+, you’ll get an audience full of previously funded start-ups (nothing new) and a bunch of well-paid VC types, PR guys looking for work, successful bloggers, and attorneys. But you could charge difference prices for different folks!

As WiredMike mentioned, there is clearly a high demand for these tickets. It is nice to pay 10.99 to be part of something great though. I will already be spending about 100 dollars in fuel driving up from Santa Maria though and am not sure how much more I would be willing to part with though I am sure it would be worth it.

Higher prices may attract a different crowd as well, that may be part of the pricing.

Mike — You guys sell out almost immediately every time. How about you increase the price of the tickets? May as well since I assume yuo will still sell out and can just give that much more to charity and further screen out no shows. I say raise the price to $25 or even $50 for these events, that is still nothing and I bet most people would pay much more!!
