Can anyone think of a worse image to use as an example on this thing than something with both BLOSSOM and CLOUDS? Both are a permanent reminder that you have a crappy static image above your head. How about evergreen trees and a blue sky for a start? Or how about just spending your money on a decent light fitting instead of something that simply tells your visitors that you are a tool.

i find it rather sad that people want this thing.

i was expecting a flurry of sarcastic smartass comments here making fun of this thing. but most people seem to like it.

as cool as tech crunch readers are, and as upto date with happenings in the web 2.0 world, looks like they are mile behind when it comes to living a life.

All products go through three phases:

(i) What is it?
(ii) How much is it?
(iii) I can make it cheaper.

Considering that there is NO info about the price on the website, this product is in the “what is it” category.

Twitter me when it moves to the third category!.

My price guesstimate – it will be more expensive then sticking on a similarly sized HDTV monitor.

For some things, I don’t mind being ULA, Ultra Late Adopter; this will be one of them.

When I was getting radiation for cancer treatment and was on my back every day getting zapped, there was a “sky” that looked almost exactly like this above me.

Unfortunately this isn’t a video / screen / monitor product. If you look at the product details, it’s done with static images and backlight. A video version would be nails!
