What you're trying to say is that you needed another venue to write about twitter under the misnomer "Information Technology". Does the DSM IV describe a condition diagnosed by the following symptoms?

- Consuming obsession with Twitter
- Pathologically abstracts all concepts, objects, and activities with Twitter
- Sexual arousal only capable involving Twitter

Mike - I have a problem with the Muffler analogy - although it's a creative reference. In my experience with mufflers on past cars - they seem to end up sucking the $$$ out of me. Enterprise technology may be boring but it doesn't suck $$$ out of the consumer facing product. If anything it is the platform that actually allows the consumer facing sites to monetize their offering.....

Gillmor for the enjoyment of the weekend lynch mob is OK. Especially since Duncan Riley started to participate.

Gillmor on a work day is bad for my health, productivity, etc.
I won't read ITcrunch though I develop enterprise software.

Poor Nik, who's a knowledgeable writer.
