Matt, Michael, and Mark (the M-Team) will be reporting live from WWDC tomorrow at 10AM Pacific, 1PM Eastern. We will be posting on CrunchGear. You can talk about the event with us at CrunchChat. It it all goes pear-shapes we’ll revert to a static HTML page in place of the dynamic page for the duration of the event. TC will have a copy of the coverage as well.
If you will be away from your computer during this time, we will use Pingie to to send SMS messages regarding ONLY THE PRODUCT LAUNCHES. You can sign up here. Regular SMS charges may apply, but you will not pay Pingle or CrunchGear for this service.

See all

Thanks for the live stream. To bad I don’t have time to attend. Well at least I will be able to see it live from here and other sources.
I hope iTablet is reality.
Time: 10:00pm PDT
Really?
@Garrett - fixed.
hey, guess what, we’re not using coveritlive. ever. again.
@Arrington - Why not? Something we should know about the service?
you heard the man, WE’LL DO IT STATIC.
Don’t you guys even do the most basic… basic proofreading before putting these posts online? This post was not even time-sensitive! … “It it all goes pear-shapes ” ?
A bit embarrassing, this reminds me of forums in the 1990s when non-academics began storming the internet …
Good thing they have 24 hours to fix the problem:
Warning: include(live.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/crunchgear.com/trunk/wwdc-keynote-2008-live/index.php on line 378
This time you guys should read some of the previous liveblogging coverage from Engadget (and others) beforehand and try to step it up a notch to match their coverage this time.
I say this with affection for TC, but the TC coverage in the past has often been lackluster in comparison to Engadget in terms of describing the scene. You guys don’t write enough to fully describe the scene. You just give one liner summaries, which leads me to believe you spend most of the time staring at Steve.
Please write more as it happens!!! Thanks!
Can we expect the Rapture?
Im going to have so many tabs open tomorrow. Ive been waiting for this for months
Oh cool .. Can’t wait to see the new iPhone .. Grab more pics guys!
Keep up the good work. Maybe TechCrunch could organize some contests and give away some new iPhones too
Warmest,
Darren Lee
CrunchGear sucks — trailing the market leaders Gizmodo and Engadget by far, showing no ability to improve its position. They should either fold up or sell themselves to Crave if they want to prove themselves worthy of existing. Oops, Arrington runs CrunchGear too? Well, in that case, just substitute Yahoo, Microsoft, Google, Ask.com where appropriate.
Hey Mike, You should host the coverage on Amazon EC2, You will never go down. Or maybe? It will be a true test for amazon and Techcrunch fans will be very happy
That is pretty much the worst logo I’ve ever seen for anything, ever!
@Akshay: S3 would be better, just serve a static html file on S3 and create a dns record for the S3 bucket on your domain. Easier than S3, and a single EC2 CAN go down, it only becomes like a “cloud” then you cluster it.
I am hoping for a new Macbook (non Pro), that would make my week….but I’m doubtful it will happen, it being the World-Wide-DEVELOPERS-Conference!
I can hope though!
Michael,
Why’s that?
@A WIlliams Yea thats what I meant when talking about Ec2, starting up more instances when needed. Yea S3 could be a good choice too.
Sweet! The report from the keynote address is the morning, then American Gladiators at night…I love Mondays! Check out my girl Crush…she is so hot, not to mention undefeated…
See her in action Mondays at 8/7C on NBC
Yeah Engadget’s coverage is excellent. MacRumorsLive is quite good also.
Wow, I wish I could go. I always enjoyed the XServe kiosk at Linux world.
So what’s the problem with CoverItLive?
They say they’ve made needed changes to guarantee service during keynotes…
If you want real coverage of WWDC 2008 check out: http://twitlive.tv/
@24, I don’t. I just want news on the new iPhone. I think they’ll cover that here. I think that’s what most people care about right now.
Rumor is you’ll be able to watch it live on Ustream.tv…..
We’ll do it STATIC!! I’ll write it myself … we’ll do it STATIC!!!
It’s about time. Not really sure they didn’t use 3G before.
What wrong with CoverItLive that you can’t use it?
Boy, if TC is ditching coveritLive. Then you single handedly put CoveritLive in the bin. It’s scary to give authority? Comes with responsibility. At least explain why CoveritLive isn’t worth it, so the rest of us could learn?
Looks like there will be a audio version of the keynote here:

That’s it. Really nice!
There are quite a few FriendFeed rooms that have popped up for discussion on the keynote and sharing articles and whatnot.
