I saw the film last weekend and I need to see it again because I was laughing so hard, I missed too many of the subsequent lines! It was hilarious, but touching as well – quirky, awkward, flawed people, just like the rest of us – stumbling through their own shortcomings in a humorous but poignant story with some twists and surprises. It is in the same vein as Sideways or Little Miss Sunshine – no glitz, no knock your socks off special effects, no Hollywood hype, but a great story, well written, great acting, and great shots. The escape-from-the-office-cubicle scene and the music to go with it is great. The original music and artwork in the film make it special. Go see it!

I just saw Weekend King this past weekend at the Victoria Theatre in SF; outstanding! I can’t remember laughing so hard at a movie in a very long time. It’s been held over for a few more weekends, so please go see it. You won’t regret it.

I had a great time watching this Sat night. I also heard the techies in the audience laughing (and/or groaning) at the lame power point techniques of characters in the office scenes. Pretty funny. I liked it myself for the offbeat art focus, and quirky small town stuff.

Real deal stuff with a very funny edge….I couldn’t control the tear ducts for an hour after, from all the laughter……well done, coming again with a “Bus Load of Friends!

This was an excellent film. Could be edited a little more to clean up some areas, but besides that, very well done. If you can, catch it this saturday at 7pm at the Victoria Theatre on Mission. It’s only 10 bucks, and totally worth it!

A romantic comedy that guys actually like watching (wait for the waitress to “clean the table”, it’s hilarious). There are lots of off beat moments but when the cast is on, they’re on! Well worth the price of admission and a great Bay Area flick.

I was out in the mission this weekend and caught the flick. It is solid indie fare. If you’re looking for expansive sets and special effects, this is not the right movie. If you want to see a fun portrayal of real, flawed people stumbling through real, flawed lives, this is a winner. I love a good Hollywood hyperbole as much as the next guy, but Weekend King is more credible, and hence easier to lose yourself in. I’ve been recommending it to friends.

I saw this last Saturday. It was a well made and acted indie movie that does a little tech lampooning. I could see it going to Sundance or something. I recommend it if you happen to be around San Francisco this weekend.
