Gee guys, a lot of you are not very on the ball about business.

Microsoft buying Yahoo, good or bad, has nothing to do with it.

The fact is, if these ego driven self important people actually did there job and made decisions according to the shareholders best interest. this deal WOULD DEFINATLY of happened.

This deal not happening is a desaster as Yahoo is nothing but a big F-Up now. With its board being sued into oblivion by not representing their shareholders.

And who thinks Yahoo is going to be run well while most of the shareholders are trying to kill the board? Not me!

The fact the share price is still UP is because everyone knows this is such a F-Up that something HAS to happen, and the best bet, and best way forward, unfortunate but true, is to SELL to Microsoft.

Microsoft to me is the kiss of death for Yahoo, as the Microsoft Culture goes completely against Yahoos. Its WRONG WRONG WRONG. But what's wrong or right in this means jack S*#T. Its money that makes the world turn, and the only money left in this is to sell to Microsoft.

Mike Arrrrrrringtone. You are not aware about what transpires behind closed doors and the repercussions associated with “things”.

Yahoo, I’ve got your back. You hold a quality that is absent in the world today and you should be very proud of that.

One more post like this I will teach TechCrunch how Yahoo feels!!!

Ok, I've been reading your blog for 2 years but this post is the most "red-flag, author owns acquisition target stock and is trying to make $" I have ever seen. It's the culmination of all this pro-Microsoft-Yahoo merger you've been pushing for the past month+. It's... sad man. I mean, Yahoo's not gonna self-destruct, you are if you keep doing this. Sorry,

I know it's fun to rant and rave about things written on TC but, seriously, Arrington has no credibility these days and things are getting worse. Does anyone really believe what he says or do you tend to question more and more with each passing day? I used to read and believe. Now I read and question --- literally every word, because so much is simply not true.

Mike,
Serious. Did you buy the Yahoo! stock, or only options a la Icahn? Your post (and Charlie Rose appearance) do(es) smack of a certain leaning. $33 is an effing joke. Like the idea of Mark Cuban on the Yahoo! board, it is simply an insult.
52-week high +$34. Don't waste our time w/ $33.
Deal could have been done at $35 if Ballmer weren't such an A-hole.
Yang is principled, not stupid. Yahoo!s are right to follow him... long-term shareholders are right to HATE Icahn.

hate his actions that is, not the man. the man has sweet nose hair. see Blodgett's post on same subject.

I think it's funny how hell bent MSFT is about trying to disrupt Google with Yahoo. Don't those guys have anything better to do like come up with something new? Maybe like a working OS w/o bugs or something really great.....why do they always try to steal others ideas?

I hope they lose this time....

A very forgettable filler post. I don't think MS would pay for a post, but they may have dropped enough crumbs to get Mr. Arrington to write this article. I don't see a bright future for yahoo, microsoft, microhoo, or microsoft with a bit of hoo as a web presence. So this is just empty drama.

@43: 'Frank' watch out, the ISPs are logging you. What the hell are you talking about you paranoid freak? Did you have your tin-foil hat on when you wrote that comment?

And 'Senior Editor' (ironic title for somebody who can't string together sentences) - maybe it's just me but what the fuck are you blabbing about? Your metaphors most likely amuse you to no end but they make absolutely no sense. Take your meds and GTFO.

U recall when man beat the first super computer at chess? or did he? Well Microsoft is the Supercomputer, but Yahoo is no chess player. Deep Blue can calculate 200-300 million moves per second. I am sure Deep Blue is history compared to what may be around now. So how many moves per second will all of Yahoo board be able to make in sync to beat the market? When you figure that one out come back for your milk for your cookies.

Here her goes again making progostications about a deal between MSN and Yahoo being done "very quickly". Does anyone actually believe this is true? Let's all remember this "less than credible" rant and see what happens. My guess is that it's total bs but time will tell.
