Actually I think the pricing has less to do with popularity and more to the fact that "Sopranos" and "Deadwood" were 60 minute shows vs. "Sex and the City" being 30 minutes. And that's not taking into consideration the vastly higher production values of the other two shoes.

Details, details.

Maybe when everyone downloads the hell out of Deadwood HBO will smack themselves for canceling the show.

Is there any chance of this leading to them actually making the Deadwood "closer movie". They were supposed to release a 4 hour special (2 episodes of 2 hours to my understanding) that tied all the loose ends for us.... waiting. I would pay $100 to see this movie, not exaggerating even a little.

I would redact that last paragraph.

The HBO on Demand is a free, additional service for Road Runner cable subscribers. It is not a service you can pay for on the Web to get HBO content with only a broadband connection. It's also only available to people in Wisconsin for the moment.

I guess Jobs blinked ... I thought he was fighting for standard pricing across the board? Or was that just for music. Did NBC finally break him down?

You can buy the entire Sex and the City DVD set for $110 off of Amazon. Quite a price difference, but I guess if you want to save the time and not rip them yourself, it might be worth it.
