And just exactly how are your favorite presenters going to make money?
It seems to me that Techcrunch should be a lot more critical when it comes to the business models of these 'start-ups' rather than fostering an increasingly unreal start-up environment on the left coast.
I like to read about these companies but in virtually every post I find myself asking how they will make money...

I thought it was a good event. Project Playlist's numbers were pretty impressive, and I also liked the voicemail to text / email conversion service.

I love the PlugandPlay team. I first encountered them at the Techdirt Greenhouse events (Mike Masnick: I am living in your old bedroom in Foster City and trying to tell you telepathically to have another Greenhouse ASAP. Failing so far, it seems). The spirit in the place is great, and Saeed and his team give it a real familial feel.

When I mentioned, two years ago, that I was tempted to buy a vintage camper on eBay so I'd have a cheap place to stay when I came to the valley, one of the PlugandPlay team told me I'd be welcome to park it for free in their lot. If Masnick's old place stops working out for me, I may take them up on it...
