I can tell you based on my experience running Y! Sports portfolio of sports products (including fantasy), that the current big players in fantasy like Yahoo! and Sportsline have a lot of lock in with their users, and just offering it on the FB platform alone isn't likely to overcome that. That said, it is good to see that companies like Citizen are recognizing that the fan apps they & Watercooler provide aren't enough in and of themselves. They gain a lot of users, but they are easily replicated and don't have high levels of engagement...so the move into games which traditionally do have high levels of engagement makes sense.
