Why do I need a political renderer for the architectural absorption of Yahoo? Mesh, Silverlight, .Net, Live Whatever, Microsoft ... they are all dead to me. The platform wars are over. The web won.

You might want to try promoting technology that you believe in on its merits rather than attempting to position platforms as weapons to be used in corporate wars. It appears that you have devolved into leeching on to these skirmishes as some sort of wannabe arms dealer.

It seems that Twitter is a tool to promote people, companies, and ideas. I don't have anything to promote so I don't see any value in it. I also don't need access to the type of real time information that those on Twitter claim is so vital. I have too much information coming at me as it is. As far as I can tell I am not missing anything by not being a slave to Twitter.

Listening to most of my podcasts on the roads.
Would love it if the Gillmor Gang on TechCrunch would have an itunes podcast link so I don't have to worry about getting the episodes or missout.

Being able to use track is great, but I also use tweetscan.com to be able to catch up on keywords that I pay attention to when I can check on them. Been off the computer all day, check tweetscan and I am pointed to this post from there. I also use it to subscribe to the RSS feeds of those keywords. Being able to let the twitter river flow while I am away allows me to silence the "Fear Of Missing Out" that ADD personalities like mine struggle with.

umm...

as much as everybody in the "valley" seems to be orgasming over twitter, just how are they really going to make money/generate revenues... isn't this something that alot of people are forgetting...

i mean, don't get me wrong, but when i've looked at twitter a few times, i haven't found it to be that crucial/critical to my day-to-day existance!! but then, i might not be the targeted customer!!!

on the other hand, most of my friends (and we're mid 30's and older -i'm 45) haven't found it to be that great either...

peace...

[...] Trackonomics What better way to test the sincerity and credibility of Mesh than to ask Microsoft when such Silverlight tools for managing Mesh will appear. If the answer is “we’re working on it,” then the marketplace’s response is “we’re waiting for it.” If Mesh is merely a synchronization grid, why not empower PC, Mac, and Linux machines at one fell swoop to explore the kinds of collaborative net-aware applications that can use a boost for off-line storage, intelligent caching, and richer display?
Twitter data may be "open", but the platform is locked. And creaky. That's why folks are looking for new ways to make the network ("graph"?) less tied to a single carrier and more reliable:
