<description>enough with the talk of "shareholder lawsuits", they simply won't be successful, why?? bcuz the msft offer was "non-binding". msft was never serious, gezz - they never even returned a counter offer.

<description>"MS threw Apple a lifeline when they needed it the most in order to keep alive a weak competitor for anti-trust reasons."

Not quite.

Apple gave MS a deal to walk away from criminal charges for stealing Quicktime code. Steve let them off the hook in exchange for a promise to keep shipping Office on the Mac for five years.

<description>The Yahoo! board of directors is going to hang for this! Shareholders are going to be so pissed about the stock dropping 40% on Monday. Most of them don't give a crap about Valley culture. Yang and the board did what was best for themselves and their employees. Yes, I know that sounds very nice and all, but they have a fiduciary duty here and they totally failed. Shareholders will hang the Yang at the annual meeting this year. This should be fun to watch :)</description>
