On Aeroplane, the soloist was pretty sharp compared to the background, which made it sound rather grating to me. He was also really nasal… Didn’t really like the arrangement either, but that song might just be hard to pull off with so few people. Choreography was entertaining, though, and the backgrounds sounded pretty tight.

The other songs sounded pretty good and were definitely entertaining.

This is a great example of why I moved to silicon valley from LA. In LA, I’d find myself at film launch parties surrounded by crew, cast and other vips. But in the valley, I get to hang out with coders all day who sometimes kick it into high gear and show off some major guitar hero and other extreme gaming skills.

How can you beat that? And if I work hard enough, some day I might get invited to a TechCrunch meetup and find myself socializing with the coolest of the cool. This really is the life…
