If you’re like me, and I know you are, you love Rock Band. The rest of those guys can have their GTA IV. I’ll be where I belong, behind a cheap-o drum kit with a crappy kick pedal.

There are lots of us, so many in fact that there’s now a social network just for us gaming music fans, uRockHard. It’s a combination of a Facebook and YouTube world, allowing Guitar Hero playing posers to upload videos of their best jams.

    Hello???
Why is nobody talking about the new Gran Turismo Prologue??

That’s the best game out there right now. I play ALL DAY LONG racing people online in SoCal.
My PS3 userid is beerco, race me and suck it!~

Who cares about another social network. BTW, mine was one of the original ones.

This is another social network with music theme, isn’t it?
So many of them, this is a confusing world! :-D

When do you think there is going to be an over saturation point with these social networks? I mean, they are all great, but folks gotta realize there is human life interaction as well.

I know the development/marketing firm behind this and they are a group of very bright guys. Expect this one to be a hit.

    @3

What’s worse is there’s no way to monetize them.
1M hits/mo on sitespaces.net brings in about $150-$200 per month in revenue

Just enough to pay for bandwidth and maintenance. I have analytics.
People don’t click on ads on Social sites.
I had to put up ads with boobies to even get the 200 a month. The regular ads with no boobies got next to no clicks at all.

If you notice what myspace did, they actually went with the boobies too because they realized the same thing.

There is really no way to monetize aside from SLIM ad dollars with boobies on social sites. Sorry for the overuse of the word boobies. I like that word.

Check out my new social network for those who play only solo player mode on Rainbow Six Las Vegas 2. Multiplayer-mode players and Rainbow Six Las Vegas 1 players are not welcome. Oh, and you last name must begin with a “W”.

wow, this is bad. even a techcrunch-post couldn’t bring any traffic to this crappy site. after almost a week, there are still less than 10 videos ;)
