Love the idea. This will definitely promote more knowledge sharing among people. I wonder why nobody thought of this sooner.

Jason - you're right.

MikeW - true. What's funny though is that Arrington said the only thing he cares about being is "right" and he is wrong quite often.

Waiting for this comment to be deleted too.

It's comical how my previous comment on the other article got deleted because I pointed out the fact that TechCrunch was FACTUALLY INCORRECT and was not actually announcing TeachStreet's financing because Seattle PI and PE Week Wire had covered it weeks ago.

This second article in two days makes me wonder about two things:

1. Why is TechCrunch so afraid of being pointed out for being wrong?
2. What is TeachStreet paying TechCrunch to be featured twice in two days?

Local lesson advertising have been screaming to move beyond hand-scrawled flyers on telephone poles, and TeachStreet sounds like it will be the perfect online solution.

Having had the pleasure of working with Dave before, I have no doubt that his passion, intelligence and user focus will lead to a phenomenal site.

dave schappell is one of the most impressive startup entrepreneurs i've ever had the pleasure to be involved with, and a good friend as well.

he made me laugh with his work at JibJab, made me proud of his efforts at Unitus, and made me compete hard against him when he was at Amazon (and i was at PayPal/eBay). very happy to be on the same side of the table with him now at TeachStreet as an investor & advisor.

best of luck to him & the team, looks like things are off to a great start!
