Version 2.0 of SezWho, a blogging plugin that tracks commenter reputations, has been launched with wider support for blogging platforms and forums. SezWho can now be used on Blogger, Drupal, WordPress 2.5, and phpBB.
SezWho is also releasing a developer toolkit with APIs that 3rd party developers can use to make the software work on even more discussion platforms. Other new features include RSS feeds for various “conversation streams”, OpenID support for logins, cross-platform avatars, greater CSS flexibility, and support for anonymous ratings.
SezWho raised $1M in funding last October. Competitors include Disqus, JS-Kit, and Intense Debate.

Very nice!!
Looking forward to working with the developer toolkit. Loves it.
The key for plugins is ease of install.
they seem to have figured it out.
Thanks Jason, for a nice writeup…Check out

for a live integration with phpBB forums.
for what reason I should give the comments on my blog to other companies? just for fun?
Pte,
With SezWho (unlike other vendors) your comments stay in your system so that there is no lock-in, no SEO issues, no content owner-ship issues, no issues with your existing widgets that rely on the data etc. SezWho just adds a meta reputation layer on top of the comments which helps engage your community by providing social controls like context and reputation.
Thanks, Jitendra
The first comment plugin like this that integrates both Gravatar and myBlogLog icons gets my “business.”
By the way, I see SezWho on the CrunchGear sister site - which by the way is one of the most beautiful blog designs ever. Nice work whoever did it.
Dave,
SezWho works with multiple image repositories…I am waiting for your business

Nice, I’m giving it a try. My blog key keeps coming up as invalid though. I’ve requested it be sent to a different address - maybe I’ll get a working one that way?
Dave,
We can see the problem…Will fix it for you shortly.

Blog commenter reputation tracking sounds like an oxymoron to me.
I don’t like it, kind of annoying all your comments being rated
Dan, Dilbert,
One of the features we launched today is the ratings for posts in addition to comments…Our goal is to help provide context and reputation to all social web conversations to better engage everybody…

@Jitendra
This is a great plugin! Thank you! I have a couple of questions though.
1) When will you guys update this plugin in the svn.wp-plugins.org SVN repository? (I like to keep all my plugins checked out from the wp-plugins repository)
2) You mentioned, “SezWho works with multiple image repositories.”
If a user that does not have a sezwho account BUT has a gravatar account comments on my blog, their avatar that shows up will be the gravatar icon? If so, how do I get this to work?
@Thaya. Thanks for the note.
1) We already have the plugin in the wp-plugins repo. We’ll soon update our latest version there…
2) That’s correct. Your gravatar icon gets picked up automatically, you don’t need to do anything

@Jitendra
Are you sure that gravatar works? My friend Artem has gravatar but not sezwho and his avatar is not working on my post here: http://omninoggin.com/2008/03/.....e-website/
Just found out from Jitendra that the gravatar logos update nightly, so there was a delay in displaying new gravatars.
Very nice stuff SezWho team… I’m plugin smitten.
