i think SGNs will have to support a proprietary brand strategy in the future in order to lower the dependency on sns sites.

and there is definitely room for strong brands in the casual gaming space. If you ask people on the street about a gaming brand, 95% will not be able to answer this question.

Thats why we believe in strong brands as a single destination for playing games (at least for a certain demographic). At http://www.fettspielen.de thats what we are aiming for in the German space.

If you're interested in social gaming (and I'm guessing you are if you're reading this post), I'd encourage you to come to the Social Gaming Summit in San Francisco - we'll have SGN, Zynga, and a lot of other leading and emerging players in the social gaming space. We've got details up at http://www.socialgamingsummit.com.

Erick, if you'd like to cover the event, let me know as we'd be happy to have you as our guest for the day.

Does anyone know (guesstimates) the (revenue) numbers behind those apps? Also it will be interesting to see how business / job related apps will do in comparison to the ones above. Curious to see if Facebook will sty focused on personal life socialization or if the professional aspect of life will 'catch up' over time.
