  • Nice, I got in.

    Thanks

I’ve been using their software player as an alternative to Last.FM for generating playlists for my iPod/Xbox and it’s pretty good.

  • Minor change the to URL and you’ll discover a link which will work:

    http://www.thef...sourcesite=tech

(all i did was change ‘techcrunch’ to ‘tech’)

  • what does it mean to get in? yesterday and today I got the success message but then received this email:

Thanks for registering to join The Filter. We’re staging sign-ups to The Filter to ensure that everyone enjoys a reliable and consistent experience.

We will contact you as soon as we’re ready for you.

Is anyone really in? I guess I’ll have to wait for tomorrow’s re-run of this story.

  • Ha. What a ploy. They were accepting people into their queue yesterday, and they haven’t allowed them in yet. Now they send out this next set of invites for others.

They just needed another mention in Techcrunch.

BTW, I was able to get in using another email ID :P

  • Thanks to Jeff, I got in using his amended URL and I didn’t have to wait, I just followed the emailed link and was accepted right away with none of the waiting that Steve reported. Maybe because I’m already registered on with the same email address to WE7, the Peter Gabriel connected music site, that may have speeded things up
