Bad news — sounds like the beginning of the end for Twhirl. I predict that with the next major release Twhirl will be a bloated mess.

However, I’m happy to read Le Meur write:

“Staying in touch with your friends using microblogging is much easier using a client than through your browser ”

What a shock. I thought the primary tenet of Web2.0 fanboys is that desktop apps are dead and that browsing the cloud is the one road to the future. Maybe one day they’ll even reinvent IRC ….
