Twatr.net is trying to keep a low profile but according to the founders it’s basically a Twitter for adults. The site is SFW right now and they’re building out HD video and image streaming/sharing along with some impressive audio features for those who might be afraid to bare it all. The Amsterdam-based company just closed a 2 million euro funding round and could be the next Redtube [NSFW so feel free to do a Google search from the privacy of your boudoir].

People who use Twitter a lot don’t get laid, because they’re too busy sending inane pings to their idiotic, circle jerk friends. By rule, people who use knockoffs get laid even less.

I wonder what reputation do people who own such companies have.
Are their kids (if they have them) teased at school – “you daddy’s into porn, hahaha” and so on…
Also, are VCs who invest in adult content companies taken seriously? Are other VCs feeling comfortable to be seen in public together with these (at lunches, dinners, other gatherings)?

hahahaha, “what are your privates doing?” actually, if you search Twitter for the words “horny” (http://is.gd/3GX ) or “hot humping” (http://is.gd/3GZ ) you’ll see that there’s a lot of overlap between these two services.

Maybe I am a dullard or focusing too much on today’s date, but what possible use for the site could there be? An adult version of twitr? Will that basically be looking at posts like “I’m moving in”, “Load delivered” except with out decency.

My co-worker’s “little ones” have no problemo with their parent being in the biz. The little turds are very popular it appears. I bet the boys get additional cred when they hit high school age. I could see the girl getting a bit harrassed.

I’m glad that this is an April Fool as I came very close to writing a very similar post myself (porn sites piggy backing web 2.0 sites with names like dikk, fuckr, twtt etc..) and am not sure I could have dealt with it if this turned out to be true…
