What remains to be seen is how youtube.com and video.google.com consolidate or differentiate .. yt has the brand name so gvid seems a younger brother alsoran. Google needs to develop an identity for their own gvid site distinct from yt – i’d suspect it’s going to become more of a completely full-service platform for video publishers, CDN included .. eating Brightcove’s lunch. yt will always be about users and gvid will be about publishers. yt adrevs will go up considerably once yt allows users/publishers and other adnetworks to sell these placements themselves. my 2c guess on it all.

This thing does not hold a candle to Scope by divinity Metrics:/ Scope is way more detailed and it also does unified traffic, unified demographics, positioning of video, landscape metrics, and global video promotion. It’s a good first step tho.

Great tool. Going to see how it compares to Tube Moguls ability to track. They allow you to compare all of your videos along side the videos of others users. Pretty neat. Def a step in the right direction.

Yep, it’s live! I’m a hit in Brazil, who knew?

A couple of months ago, YouTube announced this tool for advertisers, and I commented in this very space that it would be nice if every uploader could have it, and obviously the youtube team listened.
