This is one more piece of garbageware i didn't need to see. Just like BumpTop, i fail to see the meaning of visualizing webpages in a 3D context. 3D or not, html is still 2D, flat and therefore more practical than hunting bits and pieces of 3D geometry on a fictitious desktop.

I even fail to see the meaning of Project Looking Glass. What these companies are after is the quick hype from a bunch of morons easily impressed and pleased by vibrating i-phones.

You want a REAL 3D web? Look at Active Worlds or SecondLife. THAT is the only way a true representation of the web can be manifested in a meaningful form. No fake glass panels showing your lame Facebook profile, no rotating freaking cubes, no wiggly menus.

Wake up people. You all spend so much time on forums and comment of BS-ware and yet don't seem to grasp the basic concept of practical applications.

You ask for "Minority Report", but all you get is the "Lawnmower Man", and you'll keep getting it and comment on it, and some of you will keep on saying it's COOL! and SO DAMN PRETTY!

Well, it's not pretty, it's not cool and it sucks as bad as getting stuck in an elevator with a Kirby salesman.

What you really want you ain't getting it anytime soon ladies, it's gonna take a revolution in terms of hardware architectures to make machines that advanced, AND cheap enough that you can buy them from your local Fry's. You want pretty and cool? Buy a Mac. But that brutally flat 2D desktop is here to stay until we get something radically different. And i mean RADICALLY.
