Dave , Buddy , Dont you understand these big corporations dont have to “compete” with piracy at all whatsoever , look at world of warcraft for example , chinese gold selling companies ? Blizzard could squash that like a bug if they wanted to , just like viacom or whoever is behind southpark could destroy any piracy by making it easier to watch , its just that they are such greedy bastards. nobody is making money from having a website like allsp.com , if anything they are spending money to bring us this service , something viacom , lets just say for arguements sake south park is owned by viacom , so to speak , its just something viacom wont do. on the other hand if they had some actual brain power they could make money and let people around the world watch south park episodes online for free , just like i watch it on sbs in australia , for free.

You can’t even watch it in the UK, even though there is a comedy central in the uk, infact, there is Comedy Central, and Comedy Central Extra.

Actually, it’s not the copyright laws, it’s the way they’re being used.

Generally, one company owns the distribution rights in America, and one in each region. DVDs are region-locked, so that they can sell the same content at one price in one country, and another price in another country.

Were that not the case, the fact that the DVD costs maybe $3 in a place like Nigeria would kill any attempt for them to charge $20 in the US.

Unfortunately, that’s now how the Internet works. On the Internet, a service should pretty much cost the same everywhere. There’s certainly no reason in copyright law itself that you couldn’t do that.

The problem isn’t copyright law. It’s the absolutely moronic, totally inefficient way that the copyright holders have been distributing media — which works fine when it’s physical media, but falls apart online.

Actually, they went with pretty much exactly the same approach the MPAA is, with Hulu — US-only, Flash streaming only (no download). So if I want to watch it somewhere I don’t have fast enough Internet, or on a different media player, or outside the US, it’s back to BitTorrent.

It’s good that they’re starting to understand that they have to compete with piracy. It’s bad that they still don’t understand all the benefits piracy provides.

i think the reason people of other countries cant have access is because of the copyright laws….im 100% sure that there are some shows in other countries, we americans couldnt watch if we wanted to…

i do know there is a site quite similar to studios….

its called south park zone….i accidentally came across it one day.

I’m here in the states and I have to say if their intentions are to make pirate streams irrelevant or even if they think they can make a quick buck off the banner ads they should have superior streams. Allsp provides a more reliable stream (less buffering time, no hang ups, and no browser or windows crashes). Just now I tried to watch vids from season 12 and find southparkstudios.com to be even less reliable than even youku and toudu. It’s like a bad joke or something.

I live in Canada, not too far from the border. I can not watch the videos because it says only America can watch them. my fried 4 blocks away says that he uses the website for videos no problem. I use watch.thecomedynetwork.ca to watch south park in Canada only.

how can my dumb shit friend get to use south park studios????? he lives like 4 freaking blocks away from me! Not fair……..

I live in Japan and I CANT get it here! I used firefox 3 and xp and no luck. Strangely, whe i used scriptblocker I can SEE everything except the videos but when I allow the scrips at the site then everything turns off.

Back to illegal sites for me. What a terrible site!
