So, Where are the pictures? How much copy can I read without a photograph and some white space breaking it up. Lose the logos and let us look at something. This is a visual media as well

Duncan you should be ashamed of your contribution. It seems you spent roughly 20 seconds looking at each site. Your comments demonstrate a complete lack of technical knowledge. How embarrassing for you.

Duncan thanks for covering it. Carnival was aimed at Aussie startups only, I know we had 2/3 entries where startups are originated from Australia but their audience was not in Australia.
Thanks for all yr help and we are now further expanding and adding more startups from different areas on our portal.

BTW - our blog address is http://blog.sharmavishal.com, where as startups portal is at http://startups.sharmavishal.cm

hmmm... i'm pretty sure whoever said "Unoriginal idea that could be easily put together with some Magpie and a WP tweak." about that plugger site probably had no business being a judge. That was one of the better projects in the roundup. Kind of unfair with some top spots taken by companies already enjoying global exposure... so that's unfortunate. Not to mention, development on Magpie has ben abandoned for over a year and there are much better libraries to tap, UFP, SimplePie, etc... than Magpie.. whoever said that needs to wake up from their Rip Van Winkle nap... a very nasty and misinformed comment.

Some cool emerging startups on that list but for some reason (i can take a guess or two) we end up getting more of the same on top... rubbish. I feel bad for the other excellent startups that showed their products but got passed over for companies that have already gotten more exposure... ugh.... just too bad. Mike, organize that shit for them next time... teach 'em how to throw a startup conference, lol....
