If it is similar to gchat, is it all going to be logged for later searching as well? Will the text be allowed to be crawled for keywords for products you might be interested in? It would seem that people already have too much information about themselves on Facebook, without using their standard chat client. A much better idea would be to continue to use a third-party client. At least, on some level there is some distance between your chat and your profile.
