Interesting last question about whether the US will 'continue to lead'. The view from the UK would probably be that America leads (absolutely no question) on the web, but that, when it comes to the internet (or other networks like mobile), most innovation is coming from elsewhere - Far East, Scandinavia, even here.

Great to have found this. Was abroad and my TiVo malfunctioned.
It's my ultimate media mashup. Charlie Rose interviewing Michael Arrington - my favorite, must-watch TV program and favorite, must-read blog. Well done.

Here's a side note: Having just read about that SXSW Zuckerberg-Lacy brouhaha, I wonder how Charlie would handle that guy.....!

"Using technology can help you win an election" :D
Very witty hint at how Bush Jr. won the election! (watch testimonies on Google video about how easy it is to steal votes with Diebold voting machines)
Wonderful! Loved it!

I can tell from this interview that Michael is well verse and smart , every question is being answered, from my point of view, it look like that Charlie Rose is a beginner journalist from this interview( my joke). Good job Michael, 2 thumbs ups.

That was a great interview. I have watched Charlie Rose for years and you can tell he was listening and actually engaged in hearing what you had to say. He is one of the few great journalists still on television. I hope to meet with him before he retires. Congrats!

Peace,

debbie - books are outdated before they are even printed. If I ever write another book (I wrote a book on IPOs when I was a lawyer), it would be fiction.

Yes, great guests but as for Rose he doesn't shut up and let the guest
answer the question; he keeps interrupting, asking run-on questions,
answering his own questions, etc.

I used to watched Charlie Rose religiously a few years ago and glad to know he's still on the air. I did happen to glimpse through that "free" Wired magazine issue a few weeks back 'cause I had recently read Trend Watching's briefing "Free Love" about exactly that...the value of giving things away to increase sales and internet traffic and create a stronger customer base and so forth. It's an interesting thing that's happening on and offline these days. I really think it makes sense yet it's hard to do as a business owner for small businesses I think... Also, it's good to know that every interview of Charlie Rose is online, thanks so much for that bit of info Erick!
