Thats amazing journelism - I shall nominate you for the relevant small scale blog award.

Perhaps the fine was too much, perhaps the EU are wrong - they frequently seem to be. You are probably right, but why be twat about it?

It is very simple. There are rules for companies that operate on our eu markets. Microsoft did not respect these rules and was convicted. Then they refused to obey the orders they were given and therefore have to pay the penalties. As easy as that.

Microsofts communication policy was an insult to the competent authorities that aim to further a free market.

As a European citizen I feel that the commission's enforcement policies need to become much stronger for a company that does not respect the rules. I believe we need criminal sanctions to enforce market order against those who fail to comply. I was shocked that the company didn't respect the moderate sanctions put on them and ran silly lobby campaigns and an insulting communication policy.

Hey Micheal, I hope you're not afraid to be ridiculous : isn't Boeing about to lodge a complaint against European EADS about the contract they settled with US Army ? Or shall we understand that Boeing does not "seem perfectly able to compete" ?

Now dear - log off, go travelling, visit some of the places that you think you know so much about.

-------

What makes you think I haven't done that already?? I've been there so I know! I could even have been an ex-patriot of yours!! How do you know??

You people are really sheep and robots. Whenever somebody beats you down with the facts, the leftist loons always say (in chorus), "You should go out and do some traveling and see for yourself."

What???? Is seeing one more church or castle built 800 years ago going to make me believe you have quality health care, real educational opportunities, good wages or a good standard of living??? LOL!! No!!!

It must be nice to know that the moment you get sick, your insurance company will do everything in their power to bump you for technicalities or a small oversight on your part. That is, if you’re fully covered…

------

That's a bunch of BS and if it does happen, it happens a lot less than what your government does to people to screw them out of healthcare or to make them wait even longer in queue. How in the hell do you think government can do a better job than a private company can do?? Your best health care systems in Europe are modeled more after our insurance plans than your Communist system!!! Tell me a system like yours in any country of the world that doesn't try to screw its patients every damn chance they get, making people wait massive periods of time just to get any care.. Nevermind quality and timely care like you get here in the States. Name 'em!

Health Care – A Tale of Two Countries (Read Comments)
by Lee Kurisko

*Dr. Lee Kurisko is a Canadian trained physician specialized in radiology with subspecialty training in Neuroradiology. He is a diagnostic radiologist at Consulting Radiologists, a premier, full-service network of radiology professionals and imaging centers based in Minneapolis.*

As a Canadian physician working in the United States, I have an interesting perspective on health care in the two countries. I love Canada. It has beautiful geography and wide open spaces. Its people are generally friendly and kind. But when I realized that the government was interfering in the type, quality and amount of medical care that I could deliver as a radiologist, it became too much to bear and I moved to the United States three years ago.

Despite having some problems with rising costs and the uninsured, U.S. health care remains the best in the world and is vastly superior to that which is delivered with government provided universal health insurance in Canada. A chilling personal anecdote demonstrates this when my brother and I developed similar clinical symptoms.

Here you go... In case you idiots were duped by Michael Moore's Marxist propaganda. His whole movie was entirely debunked top to bottom as soon as it was released. Even Canada was embarrassed since he lied about their own dysfucntional system that is in bad need of reform, covering for their Communist healthcare system.

Your NHS is Communist health care and you are fascists. You really that dumb to think I was really that other poster who stole my name?? LOL!

Yes, you really are that dumb. Almost as dumb not to see that next Microsoft tax bite you right in your fat asses!!!!

Yeah.. I know. It's only Gallup, which is the most used and one of the most professional/reliable survey companies of the world. You idiots would believe anything. Highest satisfaction of THE WORLD!!!

Somehow I think the UK is towards the bottom of the scale. Yes, we know more about our own health care than a buck of Communist hack, half a world away, tied to their Marxist BBC and other far-left, state-controlled arms of their local Communist media unions.

“One deceit needs many others, and so the whole house is built in the air and must soon come to the ground”

You're so wrong on likely every account, and the joke is entirely on you.

It must be nice to know that the moment you get sick, your insurance company will do everything in their power to bump you for technicalities or a small oversight on your part. That is, if you're fully covered...

I so envy your system:

Being full of self-deciet, using "The worlds best"-preffix on everything us, calling us communists and fascists makes me think that you are fully qualified for reviewing aforementioned brainwashing cure.

Now dear - log off, go travelling, visit some of the places that you think you know so much about.

"but people would rather have our system than have your system which can refuse them care just for being fat"
I don't know where you heard such a crazy thing

"and them put them on a waiting list for years and years, even with serious injuries"
Ah ah ah... how can you trust something like that ? If it was true, you should say we're not 70yrs late bat 300yrs late ^^
But on fact, we don't have to wait.

"Funny how the socialists forget to tell the world about those little details"
Yeah, because these "details" only exist in your imagination or in your fascist mentor's one.

"Even France’s with the top spot on the Communist health care ranking is billions in the red and on the verge of collapse."
It's almost ok, now.

"Your government can refuse health care for nearly any reason."
You're really dumb to trust the ones who tell you that. Really.

I don't think you traveled anywhere in the world with such fears based on lies.

Oh BTW, it's Europe, not Eurabia. Just like it's "America", not "Mexicamerica" or "Mexicamericanada"...

I don’t think you traveled anywhere in the world with such fears based on lies.

Oh BTW, it’s Europe, not Eurabia. Just like it’s “America”, not “Mexicamerica” or “Mexicamericanada”…

Another funny thing is that you try to change the meaning of “health care system”.
Yes it is made for people who can’t afford to go to the doctor, to the hospital, to the dentist… That’s something that shows that a country is united and have a real social plan, instead of a selfish system that let the poors die.

-------

Is that why your NHS has said it will now refuse people care who smoke and are overweight because you can't afford to treat them anymore?? LOL

Great plan there. No system is perfect, but people would rather have our system than have your system which can refuse them care just for being fat, and them put them on a waiting list for years and years, even with serious injuries. At least here we can sue (if you get shafted by some BS)and get treatment quick, whereas in the UK you can die waiting for treatment in pain, where you already paid into the system. We have the Mercedes of health care and you have the Yugo of health care. Nice choice.

Even France's with the top spot on the Communist health care ranking is billions in the red and on the verge of collapse. Make sense, no?? Sort of like the millionaire in the mansion bragging he is going through bankruptcy and will lose it all tomorrow. That is Eurabia.

Funny how the socialists forget to tell the world about those little details, but then again, you idiots really need to dream, away from reality just ro feel better about yourselves.

Your government can refuse health care for nearly any reason. Great acceptance there, ignoramous. Like I said before, you take quantity over quality every time and your conditions are like what we had in our hospitals fifty years ago. I see how you can get away with your health care, even with the misery you put your patients through, and the poor quality of care, to boot. Ridiculous.

What's next? Government car insurance? Government home insurance?

You are nothing but neo-Communist goons for the state.

Thanks for the quip on cancer rates. The UK survival rate is one of the lowest in the industralized world.

I can see why millions are running for theirs lives out of your worthless country. People aren't running here, since they know reality and know self-responsibility.

I never said we were better at preventing accidents, but then again, we drive more than you and much further distances.

Face it.. You are last in line when it comes to a lot. Fascism never works.

#248 > ok so you think your townhall.com is a better information source than the NYT... funny.

Another funny thing is that you try to change the meaning of "health care system".
Yes it is made for people who can't afford to go to the doctor, to the hospital, to the dentist... That's something that shows that a country is united and have a real social plan, instead of a selfish system that let the poors die.
Well, i guess it's a protestant thing again. In most other cultures, living also is about sharing, i think that you don't really understand that and that's what you always call socialism.
Anyway, even there we have ppl who'd like a more selfish system. A TV economic speaker was like that. The he had cancer and realized he wouldn't have survive without the heath system he was fighting so much.
If your mom had a cancer and had no money, would you think that a selfish system is better ? That money is more important than life ?
If so, well you must have a miserable life, no matter how many $ you earn.

"we have far more fatal transportation accidents than other countries, for example. "
Oh really ? Nooooo. US can't have more accident than any other countries.
I'm sure you can find an article that prove the US have the safer planes, the safer highways, the safer anything than any other country in the world.

Uh uh uh.

Just because that you are able to read and carefully select articles, papers, journalists and writers that you agree with - doesn’t make it true. It is extremely easy to find numerous sources “proving” that your wrong.

-----

How can you ever start, when the facts and figures are right there in front of you??

The only feather in your cap is the insurance lie and I just stated the real figures. That's all you have, you illiterate dunce. Read it and weap.

Maybe with any luck, you can go over to the NHS and tell them you are brain damaged so the UK can hide your true unemployment status.

because you have a terrible health care system

--------

Sorry.. Forgot about this little gem.

Just so you know, the USA has the best health care in the world and has the highest satisfation ratings from its populace (and the world).

Canada and the UK have the WORST ratings of performance in the Western World. I've seen both of your standards of health care and it was like taking a time machine back forty years, with the technology to match. Completely awful, with a dismal record of performance and care to match. Your tales of bad teeth didn't come out of nowhere! I can see why all of the smart Brits flock just to pay extra to get some real health care in your private hospitals. Reminds me of the millions of Canadians fighting to get real health care in the USA, since theirs is so awful, with their Communist waiting lists being some of the longest in the world.

These are real performance and satisfaction rankings.

The WHO rankings are not even close to that standard. They rank based on socialist indicators and performance based on their 'feel good' qualms of how Communist-medicine societies 'should' operate. Gotta love rankings based on what Communists want for the rest of us. Yes "US," who can actually think and get real health care. I had no idea 'health care' meant waiting in line for two years to get a broken arm fixed. Oh yes, I would love to pay for that out of my paycheck, instead of paying the insurance for the best and most advanced care in the world.

That's the thing I love about your far-lefty loons and liars.. You just state anything you want, but never understand the context of what you are speaking of.

Context is everything, and it's also the same things you lie about the most.

Summary of the facts and the context you know nothing about:

August 22, 2007

WHY THE U.S. RANKS LOW ON WHO'S HEALTH-CARE STUDY

Citing a 2000 World Health Organization (WHO) rating of 191 nations and a Commonwealth Fund study of wealthy nations, the New York Times recently declared the United States is a laggard not a leader in providing good medical care. As usual, the Times editors get it wrong, says news correspondent John Stossel.

So what's wrong with the WHO and Commonwealth Fund studies? Plenty, says Stossel:

•	The WHO judged a country's quality of health on life expectancy, but that's a lousy measure of a health-care system.

•	Many things that cause premature death have nothing do with medical care; we have far more fatal transportation accidents than other countries, for example.

•	When you adjust for these "fatal injury" rates, U.S. life expectancy is actually higher than in nearly every other industrialized nation.

Another reason the United States didn't score high in the WHO rankings is the U.S. ranking is influenced heavily by the number of people -- 45 million -- without medical insurance. Government aggravates that problem by making insurance artificially expensive with, for example, mandates for coverage that many people would not choose and forbidding us to buy policies from companies in another state.

But even with these interventions, the 45 million figure is misleading, says Stossel:

•	37 percent of that group lives in households making more than $50,000 a year, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

•	19 percent are in households making more than $75,000 a year; 20 percent are not citizens, and 33 percent are eligible for existing government programs but are not enrolled.

For all its problems, the United States ranks at the top for quality of care and innovation, including development of life-saving drugs, says Stossel. It "falters" only when the criterion is proximity to socialized medicine.

As for the guns issue.. As soon as Brits banned guns, your crimes skyrocketed.

I love to see the police in FranceArabia run for their lives, when they are outgunned and outmanned by their own citizens in the ghettos (as they burn down half the country).

Good choice.

Fascism fails again.

It's also good to know criminals have more rights than your homeowners if they break into your home. Protect yourself, you go to jail, and the poor, harmless home invader goes free!

You people are absolutely insane.

You know, for us you’re retarded on many levels because in some or many states, you can : kill your prisoneers, because 1% of your population is in prison, because you have a lot of poverty, because you have a terrible health care system,

----

How do we 'kill our prisoners?'

The job of the State is to protect the law abiding citizens.

30% of people in jail are illegal aliens, you ignorant ass.

If you commit the crime, you do the time.

I guess this is why our crime is going way down and your crime is going through the roof. You are soft on crime and this is the same reason your countries are going down the drain.

Police departments all over the UK have been known to fudge their own crime and murder reports because they are getting so out of hand, just so the people would feel safe, if even for a moment. Your crime rates are twice as high as what they are currently being posted as. Your crime is widespread, as ours is basically confined to inner city areas, and less than 10% of Americans live in the big cities alone. More than 70% of our most serious crimes happen in less than 3% of our counties, mostly drug gangs attacking themselves or other criminals. Is that a widespread problem, when over 25% of Brits are victims of crime, each and every year??

Nobody respects you and criminals flock to you, knowing they have do whatever they want to do and get away with it. Britain is the most violent place on earth and it shows.

Poverty is calculated by income per year and not by material possession or real well being. According to the IRS's latest figures, 'the poor' in this country BUY twice the worth in possessions per year, than what they submit in their income statements. Does that make sense, or is somebody lying in their income statements, which is how they calculate poverty. It was posted in the NY Times about two weeks ago, so I can't see how a leftist nitwit like you could have missed it!!

Based on HOW WE calculate poverty, your countries would be our poorest States if we threw you into the mix. You are the real poor and our poverty rates would be MIDDLE CLASS in Eurostan. You are a funny, little wanker, but this is why I can laugh at you with a smile.

You know, for us you’re retarded on many levels because in some or many states, you can : kill your prisoneers, because 1% of your population is in prison, because you have a lot of poverty, because you have a terrible health care system,

—-

How do we ‘kill our prisoners?’

According to the IRS’s latest figures, ‘the poor’ in this country BUY twice the worth in possessions per year, than what they submit in their income statements. Does that make sense, or is somebody lying in their income statements, which is how they calculate poverty.
