Now that he's said no, I'm sort of relieved, in the same way I'm sort of relieved Al Gore decided not to run for President. Would I love to see Mr. Gore in the Oval Office? You bet. But I'm quite certain he's doing more good in his current role. Lawrence Lessig has made a decision that makes the most sense to further the issues about which he cares so passionately. I have the utmost respect for his decision. We need more leaders with his authentic sense of purpose. I would have been 100% behind Mr. Lessig in a bid for Congress, no question.
