Would be interesting except just about every other video site already offers this or better. It’s kinda sad that there are so many sites with vastly superior video offerings (imeem, vimeo, stage6) and yet youtube still gets the lions share with 320×240 blurryvision.
If you’re going to be better than youtube you really need to be a lot better.

Yahoo’s relaunched site GUI is superior, in a few ways, to its competitors. Cleaner design, more intuitive nav, bigger screens. But I wonder if the vid-watching public has become so accustomed to YouTube — which, honestly, is feeling more and more cluttered these days — that it’s becoming more difficult to acclimate one’s self to any new site. I spend so much time on YouTube that, while I can appreciate Yahoo’s design, I still feel as awkward using it as when I’m, say, trying to navigate a friend’s unfamiliar TV cable channel guide.

After uploading over 50 videos to their old service, anything is better then what they use to have… I just hope MSN Video follows their lead as their service is the absolute bottom of the barrel. It seems like this “attempted merger” is actually a good kick in Yahoo’s butt, they are actually coming out with quite a few “new things” which I can’t see all of it being co-incidental.
