It's just like the difference between "growth" and "value" public stocks. HotOrNot's traffic is a given, and probably couldn't be leveraged to go in a new direction. One for the value investor. This latest acquisition makes perfect sense given that they already own Ashley Madison. Clearly they are building up their 'dating' portfolio but I haven't seen how they are going to integrate Fivelimes (a green social network play) into their overall strategy.
