New CrunchBoard Up and Running
by Mark Hendrickson on February 8, 2008

We’re pleased to announce that we have launched a new version of CrunchBoard powered by Personforce.

There are already several new positions posted by highly visible Web 2.0 companies. Digg has posted listings for VP of Business Development and Business Development Manager. JibJab is looking for a Ruby on Rails Software Engineer, a Web Designer, and a Senior Systems Administrator. And Tokbox wants a PHP/LAMP Software Engineer to join them.

In honor of our new partner Personforce, we are offering discounts on bulk listing purchases over the next 30 days. Please email jobboard@techcrunch.com for additional details.

We’d also like to thank all of the many job board providers who reached out to us following the announcement that Edgeio had been sold to Looksmart. Although there were many qualified and eager candidates, we were attracted to the dedicated sales effort that Personforce will add to our own efforts.

Personforce powers VentureBeat as well as the boards at a number of leading colleges and universities (Stanford, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, and more). They also moved expeditiously to get a new board up and running within 48 hours of Looksmart unexpectedly pulling the plug on our old board (nice one, guys).

Thanks for your patience as we made this transition. And look for more exciting developments between Personforce and CrunchBoard in the coming weeks, including new boards for TechCrunch UK and TechCrunch France.

a job board that you can’t even sort by geographical area. what a POS

agree ringo, that needs to be fixed.

Yeah kinda shows you how Edgeio could have done much better if it were just a bit easier to implement.

bob - and hadn’t gone out of business.

The UI design needs serious help. Doesn’t bring the same calming feel as TC:)

I like the new design. Congrats to Personforce for getting this up and running.

Wow - That’s quite a lineup of sites they’re powering. Not sure how they’ve managed to stay under the radar this long.

Top schools + top tech blogs could be really powerful. Good stuff!

Not to rain on your parade, but the link to navigate the pages is wrong…

i thought salesforce.com had dibs on every word combination ending with “force”

where do you guys(TechCrunch) post for jobs ? . I checked lot of places but could not find.

Could you please share ?

Thanks, Nag

I get a page cannot be displayed if I click page 2. reminds me of you guys beating up yahoo live for being unavailable.

crunchboard FAIL

There’s quite a few bugs/issues - the paging bug and the lack of a geographic search. What happened to test driven development?

Craig (website tester)

Has anyone else noticed the comments from “rubu” on every post (here #9).

It seems to be a bot that picks out parts of previously made comments and leaves them as its own. There is always a link to some crap site with a generic name related to common issues. I don’t know exactly what these sites look like, but probably adsense.

Mark, you notice?

looks good.

page two is not working (or no data)

This jobs board is useless .. I posted several listings a few months back and got ZERO responses whereas the craigslist ad and 37 signals ad got quite a few. Don’t even bother.

Lets put things another way. Techcrunch is a hugely successful site. It’s apparently worth hundreds of millions of dollars. It’s extremely profitable.

Why then, was a tester not employed before launch to iron out the basic bugs?

Is a public Alpha release the new way of getting your testing done for free?

Michael, dude… why don’t you give me a job

It gives you access to millions of technology and business savvy readers of TechCrunch, MobileCrunch, CrunchGear and other top technology blogs. CrunchBoard is permanently linked from these sites…

There is always a link to some crap site with a generic name related to common issues.

needs the ability to sort by CITY, STATE. come on. thats a no brainer.

What happened to jobs posted on the old Crunchboard? I had three jobs posted that don’t seem to have migrated to the new board. The earliest listing seems to be from Feb 5? So my January listings are missing out on any buzz generated by your announcement of a new board. :(

Never heard of Personforce before, but seems quite interesting. Actually I´m looking for such a new software for one of my projects, so thanks for the hint

come on man… i could make you a jobborad 10x better than this… i’m waiting for the mail man!
