Our own Heather Harde appeared on this weeks GigaOM show to talk about the Crunchies, her role at TechCrunch, and general merger and acquisition movements in Web 2.0. Heather was previously with News Corp for 10 years, most recently as SVP Mergers & Acquisitions for Fox Interactive Media. The interview itself starts at 3:32 in to the video. We don’t see Heather in front of the camera that often, so if you’ve ever wondered what the person running the show behind the scenes is like, enjoy.

Cool interview - did you want to tell us, that TC is going to acquire GigaOM?
great Interview — I hope to see more of her in the future, it seems like she got really got knowledge!!! maybe we can ask her questions in the future..
She’s hot. Heather, call me.
great interview, Heather was a bit cagey bit it’s all good
Nice khakis Chris! Is this still the N. 1 item to wear in the valley?
Heather looks like a smart girl, why not make a nice TC video with Heather visiting startups etc.?
@Peter
why not? maybe because even in the fancy web2.0 blosphere there are some people who actually have to….. work.
Seriously…
Daniel
behave
but sure, I’ve seen Heather behind the scenes prior to a TC party, TC40 and now The Crunchies, and she more than earns her keep. Insane amount of work required for the three events I’ve mentioned, and Heather does it with style…and 18 hour work days.
Great show!
Really love Heather, such a lovely and calm person.
I was waiting for someone to post “wow she’s hot” and there you go. it took 3 comments.
yes she’s attractive… and also SMART. can’t say the same about some few TC readers…
Ok Mr. Riley, I am sorry
I promise to write the following sentence a hundred times on the blackboard:
“Even if I am stressed out, I will not be rude to the much valued TechCrunch readers”
Re: #3
Why is it that the instant I saw that she was attractive that someone was going to write the obligatory “She’s Hot” comment? I mean, c’mon - couldn’t you have been a little bit more creative than that?
…and sound less loney?
I met her briefly at the crunchies. First impressions were great. Awesome interview, BTW.
@5
We represent with the cotton docks here in the bay. Rep yo city!!
Every nows mike is *really* running the show
btw - the GigaOM show is unwatchable
go revision3
Well.. she IS hot. DZ didn’t qualify it… so the only person separating the notion of attractiveness from mental capacity is you. Maybe he’s turned on by her intellect…? If he (or she) had made a remark about one of her physical features it would be different, but the implication was put there by other people. Saying “she’s hot” doesn’t mean you’re lonely or valuing looks over brains, it just means you think someone is hot. Unbunch your panties, peeps. Dang. I’m 100% sure she’s used to hearing that and she seems more than capable of dealing with it…. among other, much more pointed remarks. I mean.. nobody has even introduced the term ‘Chris Sandwich’ yet. 2girls1chris..? Anyone?
widescreen!?! YEAH!
