Nice.

HR recently canceled "No Pants Wednesday" at SideReel. A sad day indeed. Fortunately, we still have Burrito Thursday, so the natives are, relatively, restful.

Fancy Pants Adventure - World 2 is an amazing game. Everyone should check it out.

Re: Flash Game Contest

We've been having 'Flash Game Contest' for the last 5-years, and due to their popularity it looks like everyone is jumping on board. Here's the winners from our most recent contest.

Duncan, nice job editing the video down in such a short period of time!

codeCrunch, a lot has changed since the late 90s and the consumption of games is more rabid than ever. On top of that, audiences are captively engaged in the games and when we present an ad during natural pauses there's a much greater opportunity to capture the attention of that person. Our 5% CTR is just one bit of proof to the high engagement factor.

Some of the games got edited out for the sake of brevity so here's a great game that everyone can enjoy. Fancy Pants 2

Ads with games is a good idea.I never think it's bad. The form is important, they can bring the spirit of ads into games,Eg. facebook is one big game.

Traditionally a bad business model. It had been tried in the late 90s several times, and I mean every which way.. The shear volume of "eye balls" is staggering, that appeals to the pump and dump crowd. Problem is (I know the statistics intimately) The ad's just don't work, people are too busy playing a game :) They never even notice the ads... The traffic they do get converts at a very very low rate (support clicks). The point is, if you really have valuable (legitimate) niche traffic there's more money in CPA deals than in CPM or CPC. (Put your money where your mouse is)

Games are a great way to draw users, have fun with established brands .. get a cult following and generate royalties. but show me revenue. Then again I'm sure times have changed, I just don't think they've changed that much :-).
