Apple was unable to attend the Crunchies tonight to pick up their Crunchie, however a special guest accepted the award on Apple’s behalf. Please note the language in the following video may offend some viewers.

  4. Aaron

    Bahaha!

“That’s not arrogant. Those are just facts.”

  5. Faramarz

this was the highlight of the whole event! bahahahhahahaha the most natural act. everybody else were so damn tense and nervous. obviously it wasn’t unexpected from a bunch of bloggers :P

  6. Rm

  9. web hosting server

Some time to speak truth few arrogant words are necessary! :)

  10. JeffC

Lyons is brilliant. “never heard of crunch.com, or Matthew Harrington”. The manilla envelope almost made coffee come out of my nose. One man, his webcam, an envelope … funniest thing surrounding the Crunchies. Go Fake Steve!

  11. Tom Reeves

What Fake Steve Jobs jump the shark!

  12. Tom Reeves

I put a blog article to the effect that what we see here is FSJ Jumping The Shark. I linked to this post, of course.

  13. Tom Reeves

Someone here has a real sense of humor sending me a mildly aggressive e-mail as Dan Lyons. I just someone didn’t like my Fake Steve Jobs Has Jumped The Shark post. I posted that on my blog.

  14. other

OMFG THAT WAS PRICELESS. I LOVE THAT FUCKIN GUY!!! :D

  15. Lapp

You are a great sport michael!

  16. Matt Harrington

    LMAO

  17. KC

    Namaste. Peace.

  18. Steel

Not funny. Just some dumbass trying to be hip with the social networking crowd and garner his 15 minutes of fame. Wonder if the old goat will show this to his grandchildren.

  19. Michael Arrington

This was one segment where I left back stage and went into the audience to watch their reaction. It was clearly the highlight of the event. I still laugh every time I watch it.

  20. Dan Schawbel

That video just made my day

  21. Kevin

ROFL - Scoble shows up for a Burger King opening…

  22. Thomas M

Absolutely hillarious! I have a new found respect for Apple! :)

  23. David Scott Lewis

Locker room humor; I stopped watching the stream a couple of minutes into this nonsense.

Supports the notion that Web 2.0 is for immature kids; you’d NEVER see something this vulgar for an Enterprise 2.0 piece.

Why not use something with a little intelligence, like on Colbert or TDS? Using profanity every few seconds is 1) annoying, and 2) not representative of Steve Jobs. Maybe Steve Jobs 30 years ago, but not Steve Jobs today.

Teen age boys may like this kind of humor; adults don’t. Besides, it wasn’t funny after the third profanity. I’ve lost all respect for FSJ.

  24. MobileKick

stfu “David Scott Lewis” do you think you are above the rest of us by using three fucking names… douche.

  25. Steel

    @David Scott Lewis

I think we’re starting to see more and more of the DIGG type mentality not only from TC, but some of the TC readers. This blog may be a big hit with SV, but it is going way down.

  26. Michael

Give me a break, teen age boys might like it. well I’m thirty and I thought it was great - grow a sense of humor loser. Oh, and don’t get me wrong, I’m an Apple fanboy, but you don’t find the jabs that Steve Jobs takes at Microsoft all the time redundant? And likewise with Bill Gates - this is just some great genuine humor. Go FSJ!!!

  27. David Fox

Highlight of the evening. You’d think someone from Apple could have made it! Heck, even Mark Zuckerberg made a personal appearance (picking up two awards) AND he dressed up with - can you believe it - shoes!

  28. Shaking Head Jobs

    @David Scott Lewis
    @Steel

You obviously can read, so what’s your problem? The post warned that the language might offend some viewers. If you’re so goddamn fucking sensitive then you should heed such warnings in the future and not watch the content following them. Go off and watch some disney shit like cinderella or benji or whatever suits your tastes and leave the rest of us the fuck alone. Jerks.

  29. Tom Reeves

So if Michael says it’s funny, we all must agree because his name is in the masthead? Cool attitude. I think good parody makes you think. FSJ just was crude. Chris Rock does crude humor awesome. And sitting in the room when that was played was probably awesome. But FSJ, on the video tape .. nope. Flame me, but he has jumped the shark.

  30. bobdmac

Tom Reeves- I really enjoyed your four posts pointing out how Fake Steve Jobs jumped the shark, all of which were so thoughtfully linked to your blog. Thanks so much.

David Scott Lewis and “Steel”- You’re welcome to you opinion, but don’t presume to speak for everyone out of their teens, please. I’m 63, and I have no trouble dealing with FSJ’s language. Do you enjoy being a having such a tight asshole? Why bother to watch the video, when there was a language disclaimer for it?

I happened to get a kick out his mention of Leonardo da Vinci’s David, Matthew Arrington, Michael Harrington, Gawker Media, and Scoble showing up for a Burger King opening.

  31. TranceMist

Dude, take a day out and clean your place.

  32. The Simon George fund

I saw the real Fake Steve Jobs!

  33. Bali

Oh, and don’t get me wrong, I’m an Apple fanboy, but you don’t find the jabs that Steve Jobs takes at Microsoft all the time redundant? And likewise with Bill Gates - this is just some great genuine humor. Go FSJ!!!

  34. Erick

Uh. Ok. This guy is a wiener.

  35. John Atkinson

Brilliant! This guy deserves a TV show - of course it would have to be on cable.
