Re: Crunchies Release timing. May be you guys don’t understand the excitement of a Hongkong-based company get into the Crunchies. Award or not, we don’t quite care. But we know our users can’t eat award but can certainly enjoy new features of EditGrid.

Re: Another online spreadsheet. If you look closely at online spreadsheets. It (at least EditGrid) is not there just to replicate features of offline spreadsheets. When a critical mass of features is achieved, focus should move on to bring all the exciting things that’s is only possible for online spreadsheet. The mashup functions is the first of many to follow.

TC just has this intrinsic love for web-office stuffs… well, web2.0… about interesting news, other than $ and valuation, this KickApp company releasing something that “In effect, any app that works on Facebook or on Google’s OpenSocial platform will also work on a KickApps-enabled website, and vice-versa.” (per marketingvox.com).. seems real interesting (for web2.0) if that’s true… mightbe.. mightbe not..

Silde just raised 50 mil on a 500 mil valuation…big story in my opinion…NY times, venturebeat have the story…i usually expect this type of story to broken via techcrunch…hustle people…I agree with the all of the above…enough with the crunchies….

oh, one more thing, as nice as the features are, I don’t believe merging cells would have risen to the level of a TC post unless the EditGrid folks (wisely) brown-nosed TC with the crunchies related timing….
