Yeah, this type of connection does come in handy for us lawyers, as long as clients are computer-literate.

mumboe's product is a piece of crap, data extraction doesn't work as advertised; i think this is why they have changed their company name again and again

Their beta service sends you an entirely unhelpful email stating in 1-2 days they'll get around to creating an account for you, and to call or email for support.

When I left a message, I got a call back within 20 minutes.

Electronic agreements have greased the wheels of commerce, causing businesses to push a lot of digital paper these days. Several startups have popped up to help manage these contracts (mostly through eSignatures): EchoSign, DocuSign, VeriSign, Entrust, amongst others. And people are using them. DocuSign claims to have completed over 5 million eSignatures alone.

Austin-based Mumboe, originally founded in 2005 as FineTooth, has recently relaunched as another SAS contract management tool. It is similar to Negonation, in that it doesn’t handle eSignatures, but the contracts themselves. FineTooth’s original software solution used natural language analysis to help manage contracts by extracting the important details from contracts. Mumboe, short for the mumbo jumbo found in most contracts, lets companies create contracts from templates, share, search, and track important milestones. The company currently has a three month free trial.

Sounds like the lawyer bandwagon is starting to gain speed. Mumoboe tackles contracts but I ran across a gem that thats like a lending tree for lawyers.

"When lawyers compete you don't get as screwed." or something like that.

Anyway for the curious: http://www.helpmesue.com
