According to several news sources that I frequent – Time Warner is considering a usage based charge for internet services. What a ridiculous notion – that’s never going to fly!

What Mac’s can do; they do poorly, and with limited interface.

“I’m a mac, and I’m a PC – Leapord is faster” – Leapord is software and doesn’t have a “speed” if it executes in shorter time, its because it consists of less code as is it much more primitive in design, go PC DOS! -doesn’t take much to impress a mac user-

As a Mac using Netflix customer, iTunes rentals are looking good. (At least for movies i don’t want to wait 2 days for) We’ll see how this plays out but I have a feeling that Apple will surpass the 6000 netflix movies in a matter of months.

This shows the real attitude of management: control and monopolize. Consider the LG hype they’ve been on about, it’s hardware that control’s the system. Now they just need every manufacturer to buy into NetFlix controlling the market…

@ricky – you have obviously used this the service sparingly, and way back at that. open it up now and it’s very different. watch now movies are much more visible and there is an entirely separate watch instant queue now.

The movie selection is a really odd mishmash. Not really commercial, not really indie… It looks like the cutout bin of a video store.

And the inability to add movies to a playlist means you have to search for something to watch every time you want to watch something.

It is overall a strangely uneven venture.

So true! Netflix’s streaming movie selection is terrible! At least Apple will be providing some decent movies. Only about 5 percent of the movies from Netflix were released within the last 10 years.

Of course, neither am I (although I did enjoy Elf), but I’m guessing that’s beside the point. This probably won’t take too much thunder from Apple’s announcement. Classics are great, and The Birds is better than most anything new. Still, I just wish there was one “The Birds” for every movie like “Double D Avenger” or “Marci X.”

The newest movies in the theaters available on the net all in 2D, while their 3D versions are released simultaneously at the movie plexes! The 3D version experience is so grand that consumers can’t duplicate it at home due to economics!

This is the future and will net Hollywood banging revenues!

#9 and #19 sum it up pretty well. it’s not netflix’s decision to leave macs out in the cold.

as for the selection, i’m sorry that netflix doesn’t have Balls of Fury available for instant watching. they instead make available awful titles such as No End in Sight, the birds, the innocents, strozsek, and more.

DAMN you netflix for not making the latest and greatest will farrell movies available for me to watch instantly on my PC. now i’ll have too sift through the 6000+ titles of your 96000 title library to find anything that could possibly live up to will farrel standards.

never mind the fact that you have only included 7% of all available titles for instant watching because of silly licensing deals that studios have imposed.
